Stephen Conteaguero is an associate at Nason Yeager. His practice focuses on governmental, real estate and environmental law and associated litigation matters. He is a member of the firm’s governmental, environmental and land use law team.
Throughout his law school career, Mr. Conteaguero worked for the City of Miami Attorney’s office, and the United States Attorney Office where he gained experience in administrative law, asset forfeiture, white collar criminal defense, civil litigation, complex business litigation, and transactional law.
Mr. Conteaguero was born and raised in Miami, Florida. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps upon high school graduation and served as an infantryman in Operation Desert Storm. He attended The Citadel, where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude. Upon graduation from The Citadel, Steve was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant and served as an aviation logistics officer. He completed his active service and attended New York University, where he obtained a Master of Business Administration in economics and management. Mr. Conteaguero went on to attend St. Thomas University School of Law where he obtained a Juris Doctorate degree. While at St. Thomas, he served as Staff Editor of the St. Thomas University Journal of Complex Litigation.
